Dr. Tulsidas S. Kuruvanka, M.D |

|
Dr. Tulsidas S. Kuruvanka was born in India and moved to the United
States after obtaining his medical degree from Bangalore University, in Bangalore
India. He completed his internal medicine training at the University at Buffalo,
in Buffalo, NY.
After serving as a general internist in Phoenix, AZ he returned back for further
training in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
He completed a research fellowship at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation hospital in
New Orleans, LA. Later he completed a fellowship in vascular medicine from the world
renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.
There he received extensive training in the various aspects of both arterial and
venous disorders. Subsequently he moved to the Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx,
NY where he received his fellowship training in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
His strong interest in interventional cardiology leads to a dedicated year of training
in the field of interventional cardiology at the St. Elizabeth’s medical center
in Boston, MA.

He was fortunate to have trained under world leaders in the various aspects of cardiology.
Following this training he joined northwest Houston cardiology practice in July
2008.

Dr. Kuruvanka has been certified by the American board of internal medicine (ABIM),
in the field of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular diseases, and Interventional Cardiology.
He is also certified by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology (American Society of Nuclear
Cardiology (ASNC)) as well as the National Board of Echocardiography (The American
Society of Echocardiography). He is also certified by the American board of vascular
medicine (ABVM) in the field of vascular medicine.

He has participated in various basic and clinical research projects and is currently
involved in many multicenter clinical trials. To his credit he has publications,
abstracts and textbook chapter.
Dr. Kuruvanka strongly believes in providing good clinical care with greater emphasis
on prevention, patient education and communication. He resides in the spring area
with his wife and three children.
